ANOTHER 30 years had passed by since the time the Parish of San Guillermo celebrated its 150th Anniversary in 1985. Throughout the decades, the parish has continued to develop and flourish. In 1990, while under the term of of Rev. Fr. Sindulfo D. Iriarte, Cebu was devastitingly hit by super typhoon "Rufing" which caused a great destruction to the Town of Catmon. Houses were badly wrecked and spirits were immensely broken. The parish church was not spared from the havoc. Its roof was severely damaged. But despite the difficulties, the parishioners were still able to give their support in the rehabilitation of the church and the PACIC building.
When the church roof was stripped off of its ceiling during the repair process, it was discovered that some of the ceiling beams or roof framing had already weakened. These were then replaced with new ones and in order to keep track of their condition through time, the beams were intentionally exposed. In dedication to the parishioner's kindness and generosity, a canopy was built at the church main entrance. This structure also serves a practical purpose of providing extra shade and rain protection.
After eleven years of serving as parish priest in Catmon, Rev. Fr. Sindulfo Iriarte was replaced by REV. FR. ROLANDO T. MANAYON IN 1991. During Fr. Manayon's term as parish priest, the roof of the church was further renovated with Colorsteel roofing. The pavement fronting the cemetery chapel and the road within the cemetery were concretized. Other projects included the concrete path adjoining the church and the convent and the concrete terrace behind the convent. Also during Fr. Manayon's term, the concreting of the road from the church to Barangay San Jose was finished. He also oversaw the concretization of the road from the church to the Padre Miguel de Jesus Park, connecting the existing concrete Padre Eugenio Menchavez Road to the upland cemetery. Moreover, while in the parish, Fr. Manayon encouraged the sports volleyball. He established a scholarship program for girls with anthletic potential in volleyball, had them undergo rigid regular training, which soon paid off successfully. Catmon, then, started to produce volleyball champions who consistently excelled in various tournaments including the Palarong Pambansa. Fr. Manayon's term in Catmon ended in 1998.
In February of 1998, REV. FR.MANUEL P. NARSICO replaced Fr. Manayon as parish priest. During his term, an Adoration Chapel at the side of the parish convent was built. The people hearing Masses are no longer disturbed by passing motor vehicles after a Diversion Road was constructed within the parochial lot and opened in November 2007. The PACIC building was renovated, renamed to San Guillermo Social Center and made more functional for parish social events. The sacristy ceiling was installed and the old wooden staircases to the attic as well as in the belfry were replaced with steel ones. The parish rectory was expanded to include a social hall, parish office and a spacious garage. Furthermore, within Fr. Narsico's term, the parish established a partnership with University of Cebu. The school's Civic Wlfare Training Service (CWTS) students came to the parish on Saturdays to help beautify and maintain cleanliness in the church surroundings and to interact with their adopted communities.
In 2007, while still under Fr. Narciso's term as parish priest, a newly ordained archdiocesan priest, REV. FR. SHERWIN LEO FERRATER spent his mission year in the parish of San Guillermo where he successfully established a Basic Ecclesial Community in Barangay Tinabyonan.

The growing population in Catmon and the distance of some barangays to the church, moved the Archdiocese of Cebu to divide Catmon into two parishes; hence, the creation of St. Joseph Parish whose church is still under construction at Barangay Pasnalipan. In April 2007, REV. FR. JOERYLL S. CHAN received his appointment tasking him to prepare the people of the ten barangays under the new parish in its creation process. On May 8, 2007, the ground breaking ceremony for the church construction was done at Barangay Panalipan. On that same occasion, Bishop Emilio Bataclan, Auxiliary Bishop of Cebu, formally introduced Fr. Chan to the people as the first parish priest of the new parish. Since there was no parish rectory yet, the Cardinal told him to reside in San Guillermo parish rectory while preparing the new parish. For a year, he became an assistant priest of Fr. Narsico, the parish priest.

With the declaration of Cebu as the festival capital of the country and the desire of the Local Government Unit of Catmon to boost tourism and further promote the native delicacy “Budbod Kabog”, the municipality has decided to rename and reformat the Sadsaran Festival to “Budbod Kabog” Festival. Except for the incorporation of activities intended to promote the natural delicacy, the festival retains the Sadsaran format which entertained people for the past long years. The ‘Budbod Kabog” Festival as envisioned and conceptualized does not replace or delete Sadsaran but instead it has enriched it with more festive and substantive activities.
